Yellow street cones always catch the eyes but are not usually associated with advertising, but here we have an exception. This advertisement for Air Canada is very unusual but it is effective. Many passers by stopped in the street to read the type on the cone and found it very amusing. Another clever way of using cheap and to the point viral media.

Soho Gym goes Glee
"Thanks to our new friends at Fox TV and Sony Music, we're delighted to bring you another Soho exclusive: Glee Class is your chance to master the routines of two of the hit show's most memorable dance routines, and tone up as you do it. (Feel free to sing your heart out too – or just focus on the moves if you're not a songbird!)"
This new fitness/ dance class from Soho Gyms is a brilliant idea. Glee is one of the most popular shows on TV at the moment, its huge. As its a show that incorporates a lot of dancing and singing what a fabulous idea to create a new medium in which everyone else is able to get involved whilst doing some good old fashioned exercise. As a member of soho gyms myself i'm sure its going to be very popular.

Anti Theft lunch Bag
If office gremlins are making off with your daily meal, innovative designer Sherwood Forlee has a clever solution: the Anti-Theft Lunch Bag. Simply put, Anti-Theft Lunch Bags "are regular sandwich bags that have green splotches printed on both sides." With your sandwich inside, the bag simulates mold and makes the contents look disgusting. These bags aren't available for purchase, but the idea shouldn't be difficult to replicate if you need more sandwich security at your workplace.

Noodleslurper
This is definitely a new medium that i don't think i've seen anywhere before. This advertisement by Jungs Von Matt for Noodleslurper defo made me yearn for a big bowl of slippery noodles.
Coops Paint
An advertisement for paint ? Of course we should be seeing the paint. In this ad we certainly see what it is they are trying to sell. High impact, noticeable from just about anywhere.
Eskom Electricity
Simply, to the point, extremely effective. A definite eye catcher. I love how the the billboard plays with scale and negative space. Even though the whole space had be payed for only a small portion of it is used which one may initially think is a waste of money but in the long run will i'm sure generate a lot of income through the success of the advertisement.
Benjamin Moore Paints
A transparent display backing up Benjamin Moore's claim that they will match any paint colour. This is fun because it could be placed anywhere and highlight a whole range of different colours to potential clients whilst also making use of the environment. It's so simple and effective and would generate a lot of interest.

Denver Water
Seeing these benches would most certainly make most individuals think about the message its portraying about water use. Its very innovative how its been adapted to the bench, only using the amount of wood thats needed for one person. The colours also very striking which would no doubt aid in attracting passers by.
Hoover Glass
This Ad is very provocative. Being placed on the window of an airplane is very clever and clearly illustrates how Hoovers faith in their product. This would certainly make me feel confident in the glass.
McDonalds Japan
Im sure these urinals in Japan are guaranteed to make sure that you aim in the right direction. I personally would love to see more urinals like these as they add a bit of humour to something very practical and un-attractive. Big thumbs up from me!
Canon
Here is a little picture story of a recent Canon ad inside Shibuya Underground station (between Toyoko and JR Yamanote line), which offered small packages mounted on a poster. Its very interactive and was hugely popular. People passing by were encouraged to approach the poster and take what they wished. Inside the packages was a small brochure about Canon's new range of cameras.
Condomi - Erotic Shopping
These shopping bags for definitely an eye catching. Not surprisingly they are from an Erotic sex shop. A phrase that springs to mind when seeing these bags is "Any publicity is good publicity". Some people may find these bags offensive but i find them suitable for the product that is housed within and i'm they are very successful in targeting potential customers.

Fruit Juice Packaging - Naoto Fukasawa
Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa has created a series of creative fruit juice packages that have the look and feel of the fruit they contain.
“I imagined that if the surface of the package imitated the colour and texture of the fruit skin, then the object would reproduce the feeling of the real skin.”
3M Security Glass
3M company placed this Security Glass display in the street with a Million dollar inside it without any monitoring. They stated that who ever breaks the glass, he is welcome to collect the million dollars inside the glass! Now that’s what i call an AD
HSBC
This has long been one of my favourite ad's. As a frequent traveller i see this ad everywhere, all over the world. But the place that I see it most is at airports. What I like most about this is its clever play with words and how well it works with its images. It says so much with so little. It churns up many emotions from one word placed on 3 different images. This is the so sort of advertising that i love to see.
K2r Spot Removal
This is a marketing piece for the spot remover K2r. Virtually NO budget needed. Absolutely amazing idea and high impact. All you need is chalk.
McDonalds
This unique growing outdoor billboard by Leo Burnett, which promotes McDonald’s health-conscious menu items, just won a Gold at New York Festivals’ Innovative Advertising Awards.
Anti Drink Driving
This drink driving campaign is from saatchi and saatchi, australia. Black skid marks lead from the road up on to pavements and straight in to bus shelters, walls and park benches with the words 'drink driving ends here'.
Bic Razor Blades
This billboard is one of the most creative advertisements found on the highways. Created by Bic, it shows a giant razor that shaves the grass all the way up to the billboard portraying the image of a powerful razor. Except for the constant trimming of the lawn, this advertisement looks very effective.
Amnesty International
This campaign for Amnesty International placed plastic hands grasping on drains, with “Wrong Colour/ Wrong Opinion/ Wrong Faith” branded across them, giving the impression that someone was trapped behind the bars of the drain. I think this is a simple yet effective way to drive how the horrific fact that in too many places around the world, people are being punished and locked up for having a certain belief or looking a way that differs to the regime under which they live.
FearNet.com
FearNet.com mounted these outside apartment peepholes and then knocked on the doors. As far as I know you can download this and print it from fearNet.com and scare your own friends.
